Telos Turkey Triathlon

Okay, so I have been wanting to do a triathlon ever since I ran my half marathon. I know that was only a month ago but my friend megan signed up for the Orem, Telos Turkey Tri on Nov. 8 and I just have to do it. I thought I was going to have to wait until june, when the next tri is, but here I go. Now, don't get all impressed because this is a Triathlon Sprint which is the shortest triathlon. The sprint is usually a 5k run(3.1 miles), 10-15 mile bike and a 1/2 mile swim. Being in Nov. the race will be backwards. We will start with the run (3.1 miles) then the bike (10 miles)and last the swim indoors (350 meters) at the Orem Fitness Center. I was hoping some others would be interested to join in on the madness. Andrea you did just get a new bike? For those who are interested but don't have a bike, I have been taking cycling classes at my gym (which people say is harder than outdoors) and plan to rent a road bike at Outdoors Unlimited for race day. I know I am crazy but wish me luck. The training is going to be the hardest part.

Hmmm...maybe I'll do it too. I sort of need a reason to exercise.

Funny you should mention this. My friend Michelle just got done with the yuba triathalon and has been trying to talk me into it. It is so tempting and we just did go on a 2 hour bike ride but I just don't know if I'll have time to train that seriously with the job that i have. i know how crazy the week days can get. I think the most tempting part is that indoor swimming.
