Vegas Baby!!!

So my Dad had a conference in Vegas the 16th-18th. My mom went with dad and they invited me to come and hang out with mom during the day. It was great to hang with my parents and get a little R&R away from my kids. We did some great shopping and ate great food. My parents have never been to Vegas so it was great to show them around take them to some of my favorite places. Here is mom and dad in the Forum shops at Ceasars watching the awesomely weird Atlantis show. We did do some great shopping and got some cheesecake to go at the Cheesecake Factory it was great. We were also celebrating my late birthday so I got some great plaid chucks and was able to stuff myself at Benihanas, so good.
The gardens in the Bellagio are always a favorite place to stop in and check out what they have going on. It was as beautiful as ever. My favorite is the tree that is shaped like a mouse, so cool. The flowers were just amazing and I loved that this whole weekend was so relaxed. There was really no one in Vegas it was great to be able to do and see stuff without fighting the crowds. There were not crowds this week at all. So the biggest highlight of the trip was that I won $75 bucks on the penny slots, yes the penny slots. It was so much fun.
The last thing Chris said to me before I got on the plan was "make sure you don't go see the Thunder from Down Under". I had no idea what he was talking about and then on Friday before we headed to the airport to come home I saw this poster and could not stop laughing. 1. because Chris was worried I would go see this 2. because I would be too embarrassed to see this, I cannot even handle people singing in church it makes me uncomfortable and embarrased for them 3. because this is the funniest title for a show ever it has so many meanings the "thunder from down under". Okay I have a dirty mind.

My weekend was well needed and well deserved. I hope all mother can get a break like this from their kids and daily resposibilities. It has been a year since my last break and that was way too long. Usually Chris and I try to give me a break every 6 months and that for me is the perfect amount. I love coming back from a long trip and seeing my family. I am reenergized and ready to get back to my responsibilities. I also believe getting breaks from your kids is needed and makes me a better mom. So moms talk to your husbands and get a break, you deserve it. I also want to thank my wonderful and amazing husband for taking time off of work and letting mw get away for a little bit. You are one in a million. Thanks Chris.

Hey Chris and Jaimie...

I love the 'thunder from down under' story...I'm still tearing up from laughter about that one;)

Next time you go to Vegas - you should call Joel (oldest brother) and his wife. You'll feel like your with Jamin...only he's a LOT smarter:) Plus...with his Nevada drivers license he gets major discounts at shows and restaurants and such.

Thanks for adding us to 'your list' - I hope it's ok if we do the same:)?
