I just love the first birthday milestone. I like to make a big deal out of it and make sure everyone has a great time eventhough the babies will never remember them. For Cooper's birthday we went swimming as a family which Cooper loves to swim. 
On tuesday we had his birthday party and as a tradition we give the kids there first cake and see what they will do with them. I think it really shows their personalities. Dane was cautious at first and then he poked around by the end he had it all over. Maggie just dove right in not caring about anything and ate soooo much cake. Cooper we learned does not like to be messy he barely even touched the cake, without our help.

sorry we missed it! we had a family party for flynn that night that was 2 weeks late! (he doesn't know, right?) that was a fantastic cake, btw. did you make it? your kids have the cutest faces..

Yes, I made it and it is alot easier that it looks. Don't worry for those wondering, we did not sure the sheep cake. I always get a baskin robbins cake that is for everyone else, yummy.

how fun! i didn't know it was his birthday! he looks so much older than when we saw him.
i'm totally impressed with that cake! things are rarely as easy as people claim...
