We were lucky enough to spend Memorial Weekend at my parents home in Frisco, Colorado. This is a picture of Lake Dillon. We went on several hikes this weekend and this was our last hike on the last day. I am sad that we will probably not get back to this part of colorado again. My parents are moving to Hood River, Oregon soon. We hope this is not our last visit. We had a blast. My sister and her family live here also, so we were able to get all of the grandkids together for some quality time.

This picture was taken on our 1st hike. There are 2 youthful moose that live on this hike, we did not get to see them probably due to how loud the kids were. These same moose often bed down at night on my parents property. We were disappointed there were no moose sightings this trip. Chris and the kids are standing in what appears to be somethings home. It is a bunch of trees surrounding an open, cozy little home of some animal. My parents think it is a little black bears home. Way cool.

Here is Chris helping my Dad finish building a pond. My parents have a stream that cuts through there property, so my Dad blocked the stream until the pond filled up then opened the stream back up. It looks really good and my parents are doing all of this, why? They are moving as soon as the house sells. Anyway, it kept Chris busy for half a day.

This was my favorite hike that followed this beautiful river and had many waterfalls. I just cannot get over the beauty of this place. Frisco, were my parents live, is at about 9500 feet in elevation and everything is just so green and lush. It definently makes for major air suckage when hiking but worth every breath.

This was the kids favorite hike. We hiked up before breakfast to Chipmunk Hill to feed the chipmunks. Maggie had no fear and let them eat the sunflower seeds out of her hand. This place is so much fun. We got there early so no one else was feeding them, we had about 15 chipmunks surrounding us and the kids. They were chowing down on the sunflower seeds it was very enjoyable and kids did not want to leave. This was the last thing we did there in Frisco, I take that back we did end of eating breakfast at my favorite bakery in the world. If you are ever in the Vail, Breckenridge area of Colorado you have to check out Butterhorn Bakery. They have the most amazing biscuits and gravy ever. Butterhorn is a must stop for us at least once everytime we visit. We had a blast and hope everyone get a chance to visit Summit County in Colorado. You won't be disappointed. Jamie

Can you find all 6 of the chipmunks in this picture?
