Some friends of ours called us up on Wednesday and asked if we wanted to go to Elton John on Friday and we said, "Heck Yeah". So Chris and I went up to Tulsa early last night and had a wonderful dinner at this trendy little restaurant on the river. The food was "so good". I had to throw that phrase in there for my in laws. Then we headed to the BOK center downtown to see the concert. It was amazing. Elton John played for 3 1/2 hours. I could not believe a musician of his caliber would entertain us for so long. I mean you expect 2 hours, maybe, not 3 1/2. It was awesome. There are 3 things when seeing Elton John you come to realize 1. he has an incredible voice and plays the piano like no one else 2. you forget how many great songs he really has until he sings most of them and 3. he is like 5 ft tall. Chris and I could not get over how short he was. We were only 15 rows from the stage and he looked so tiny. Anyways, it was a fun, fun, amazing night. Well worth the time and money to see Elton John.
