My Life Lesson Reading the Poisonwood Bible

I started this book the beginning of November. I could not get into it at all. The first 150 pages were brutal. I would pick the book up and read about 10 -15 pages and I was done for a couple of weeks. I could not follow it at all and I could not understand why I was having such a hard time. Usually books are pretty easy for me to get into even challenging ones. So on Tuesday I decide I am going to try reading it again. So yes from Nov-Feb 10 I only read 150 pages. Then I read the other 400+ pages in 2 days. I could not put this book down. So I guess the lesson here is to not give up when things get tough or you just don't know what the heck is going on because they usually end beautifully. This is one of the best books I have ever read. I still don't like the first 150 pages but the rest was amazing. I have taken my lesson to heart. My life with 3 little kids is hard, I am not going to sugar coat it. Of course it is very rewarding and I love it and would not change it for anything in the world. I am just glad that this book help me figure it out. I will not give up when times are tough and I don't know what the heck I am doing or what is going on but I know my work and sacrifices will have a beautiful ending.

I really want to read this book, everyone who reads it seems to enjoy it.

And I'm so happy to find a fellow lover of Indian food! When I suggest going there with other people they act like it's the grossest place on earth.
