End of November Happenings

Okay, so yes this is catch up again. This fall has been so crazy. It is hard to keep up with everything and so our blog is being neglected. So here I am to catch it up.

November 15: Mom and Maggie day-Disney on Ice
Maggie and I had so much fun at Disney on Ice. I could not believe I enjoyed the show as much as Maggie. It was so much fun. Of course, Maggie's favorite part was the princesses. Maggie still talks about them. Here is Maggie with her Cinderella snow cone.Cinderella was Maggie's favorite but she was bummed Sleeping Beauty did not make an appearance.
Here are all of the princesses. Since when is Pocahontas a Disney princess and Sleeping Beauty is not?My favorites were the Incredibles and the Lion King. We really had so much fun.

November 21: Dane's Kindergarten Thanksgiving Feast

Dane just loves kindergarten and has so much fun everyday. He loved the feast which every kid was asked to bring something to share with the class to eat. Dane said he ate so much and was very proud of himself. Here is a picture of Dane after his Thanksgiving Feast.November 25-30: Thanksgiving in Phoenix

We had so much fun in Phoenix for Thanksgiving. The weather was a little cooler than we were hoping for but after 40 degrees in Utah, upper 60's was way better. On Thanksgiving day Chris' sister Cindy and I ran a 10k turkey trot. I kept looking at my heart rate monitor and was way above normal for me, which is usually around 85-90%, I was running at about 95-109%. Not really a good idea and I could not figure it out until I realized Cindy and I were talking the whole time. We had so much fun and a guilt free Thanksgiving meal. We both burned about 1200 calories, awesome. Here is Dane waiting for us at the finish line. And here are the kids still waiting for us to finish. Due to our talking it took us about 10 minutes longer to run the race. We finished in 70 minutes.

On Friday Chris had a guys day out. Chris and his brother in law Max played on awesome round of golf due to the amazing weather. Then they headed out that evening for the ASU-UCLA football game. What a day.

On Saturday it was the girls turn to have a day off. Me, Cindy and Samantha (Chris' sisters) first headed to get an amazing pedicure with the full on massage of your leg from the knee down. They did this thing with really hot rocks and I thought I was in Heaven. You know when something feels so good you have to close your eyes and take it all in? It was that good. Then we went out to lunch and went shopping for the rest of the day, of course. It was a good day.

That evening we went out to dinner with my uncle and his family. It was really good to see them. After dinner we met up with everyone else to catch the Christmas lights at the Phoenix Temple. The lights were amazing and the kids loved it. It was nice to see Christmas lights in 50 degree weather as opposed to 20 degree weather at the SL Temple.

Sorry, for some reason our pictures of the Temple are not downloading properly. I will figure it out soon. Check back later.

We had a great vacation and love the VanNatter's for having us for so long. It was a treat and a much needed vacation from Utah. We hope everyone else had a great Thanksgiving.

So, I think in the Thanksgiving pictures for Dane's kindergarden Dane looks alot like Chris. What a fun idea taking Maggie for a mommy daughter day.

Sounds like a very fun Thanksgiving. So glad to hear that the boys and girls got equal time away. Sometimes I feel like certain people (Scott) golf way more than I do anything when family is here!
