Pumpkin Patch, Halloween Carnivals, Trunk or Treating and Adult Costume Parties, Oh My!

Man what a crazy bunch of weeks we just had. So here is another lame catch up post for you to enjoy. I just get busy and forget about all of the fun things we need to post. So here it goes.
FHE 10/20/08: Pumpkin Patch with Knorpp's and Arntsen's
This started out really bad. We planned to go to this cute little pumpkin patch and corn maze in Mapleton. It has been a 5 year family tradition so we just had to got there. Well, we get there and it looks pretty dead and then we see a sign saying "no pumpkins this year because of the deer". Dang those stupid deer. So we had to go to the pumpkin patch right off of 400S in Springville which is so loud with traffic and so not as good as the Mapleton patch. The kids did have fun, we got a couple of pumpkins and got a great treat at Dairy Queen. So all in all, it was pretty fun. But I am still grumpy about the deer.FHE 10/27/08: Carved our Pumpkins
Sorry we don't have any pictures of the actual pumpkin carving, due to the deadness of our battery, but here is the finished results.10/29/08: Maggie Preschool Party
Pretty much Maggie wore her costume everyday this week and so did Cooper for that matter. Here are some pictures of before preschool and before I could help her get dressed. Cooper and Maggie both dressed themselves.10/30/08: Maggie Ballet Party and Ward Halloween Carnival
Maggie got to wear her costume to ballet today with the rest of her class. It was a very fun princess party with one Alice in Wonderland. I am bummed I did not get a picture but I did film it and I don't know how to add those yet. So check back soon maybe it will be here?

Then later that night was the ward Halloween carnival. Here is Dane our super Superman. Here is Maggie and Cooper with our Bishop who has been "worked to the bones", HaHaHa.10/31/08: The Real Halloween celebration
I was able to go work with Dane's kindergarten class this morning and see all of his friends and their cool costumes. It makes a mom feel so good when your son is excited about you helping with his class. I thought Dane would hate me being there because he is usually so independent, it was a pleasant surprise.

Trunk Or Treating at the Ward Building was out of control. The kids got so much more candy than we passed out and I bought a ton of candy this year.
Superman:Cinderella:Batman:
Cooper had me and Chris laughing so hard. He pick up the "trick'or'treat" for candy thing really fast. He would say "trick'or'treat" and if you did not hear him he would gradually say it louder and louder until someone gave him some candy. Yes, sometimes there was yelling involved. So Funny.
11/01/08: Last but not Least the Adult Costume Party
Chris and I were embarrassed to admit to our fellow friends at the party that "yes, we had these costumes figured out last November". Can you tell we love Halloween!
I now present to you Jane Fonda and Richard Simmons. Last year as Slash and Dolly we got best couple costume and Chris got best overall costume. This year we got funniest female and funniest male.

Here are some more pics of Richard for your enjoyment.
This was Chris' inspirational picture: And here is Chris: We had so much fun and can't wait till next Halloween. What are we going to be?

those new muscle suits they have for kids are the best thing to happen to costumes. They make me laugh and laugh and I'm sure the kids feel 100% more legit. Also, I really love the scowl batman has. It makes cooper look super funny.

The Richard Simmons costume takes the cake--or maybe the "candy" in this case! I loved it Chris!
With your partner, Jane, you two were awesome!

I can't imagine deer liking pumpkins, maybe the vines? weird...
