Friday Chris and I drove down to St. George with his brother Steve and his wife Stacy who were in town from Seattle. Steve was running the
St. George Marathon on Sat morning and trying to qualify for the
Boston Marathon. So we decided this was the perfect opportunity for a mini vacation of our own without the kids, only the 2nd time we have left our kids alone overnight ever. It was a much needed vaca. Thanks to our other brother in law(Jeff) we had a place to stay, all of the hotels were booked months in advance. Jeff's parents happen to have a second home in St. George in an
exclusive neighborhood. It was so awesome and very peaceful. Thanks again to Jeff (place to stay) and Samantha (chris' sister) for watching our kids, you are amazing and we love you so much. After a nice dinner, relaxing soak in the hot tub looking at millions of stars and a much needed night of sleep without toddler interruption we woke up to rain. Lot's of rain.

Poor Steve had to run the majority of the race in rain, heavy winds and unseasonably cold weather for St. George. It was between 50 and 60 degrees during his race. But after much perseverance Steve finished 3:19:26, 34 seconds to spare. Way to go Steve. Boston here you come.

Before we headed back to Springville we had lunch at the always favorite In-N-Out Burger. It was so good. I don't usually like fast food hamburgers, but man, these are good. After watching Steve and the fact that he plans to run it again next year, I think I am going to run it also. I have until March to think about it before registration opens. We will see but it is very tempting.

After all your running, you deserve In-N-Out.
I can feel the tranquility just reading about your trip. I need a trip and I don't even have kids to take care of.

Chris,
This is Tommy Everett. Jeni and I have moved back up to Utah with our kids. We are in South Jordan. I got laid off from my job in Phoenix, and nobody was hiring there, so I got hired at a firm in Midvale. Anyhow, the reason that I am posting is because I wanted to let you know that there are five In-N-Outs that are coming up here to the Salt Lake/Utah Valley area. This is not a rumor. The firm I work at submitted a proposal to design the landscapes for all five of them. There will be one in Orem on University Parkway by the Barnes and Noble. There will be one at Jordan Landing in West Jordan and one in Layton. I can't remember where the other two are going right now. Just thought that you might want to know. If you want to write me back my e-mail address is thomaseverett76@gmail.com.
you're amazing for even considering it. i'm so impressed at your dedication to excercise in addition to the three little ones you have.
so when are you guys going to come visit again? i miss you!!!
