Happy Birthday to Dane #2

Dane birthday started on Sunday March 30th. My parents were in town so we had cake and ice cream to celebrate with them. Although my parents said he had to wait until the 3rd to open his presents, so we did.
On Wednesday the 2nd of April, Dane had his school party with Spider Man cupcakes. He had a blast and just think it was not even his birthday, yet. His birthday is on April 3rd.

Today is really Dane's birthday, Thursday April 3rd. So we started out the day with a trip to the doctor for Dane's 5 year check up and kindergarten physical. I thought he is only going to get one shot so it will not be that big of a deal, right? Wrong! Dane needed 5 booster shots only 1 for kindergarten. I felt so bad for the rest of the day. Dane told me I ruined his 5th birthday by getting shots. Oh well, he won't remember this, I hope. So after the doctor I felt horrible and so did Dane. I decided to stop by the wonderful Provo Bakery, where I gained 10lbs working there one summer, and let Dane and the kids pick out which donut they wanted. Dane said his birthday is getting better and not all the way ruined. After lunch and naps Dane opened his presents.
The spiderman trilogy was purchased with the money Nana and Grandpa Jensen sent him.
A dirt bike from Grandma and Papa Bergener that he has been asking for forever. Mom and Dad got him the Spiderman helmet and knee and elbow guards that he is not wearing. He loves the helmet though. Other gifts included a really awesome dinosaur puzzle from Aunt Shelly and a trip to Chuck E. Cheese's from Cooper and Maggie for dinner.

We enjoyed Carl joining us with his friend Nicole and her daughter Lexi for the party at Chuck E. Cheese's. They were a lot of fun to have around. Dane's favorite aunt Samantha also joined us for the nastiest pizza ever, but hey the kids sure had fun.

To finish off the celebration we headed to Baskin Robbins for some yummy ice cream which pushed our already exhausted children over the edge. So we brought them home, hosed them down and put them to bed. It really was a great day.

I agree Chuck E Cheese pizza is nasty! It's like eating cardboard. I smiled when I saw Chris playing air hockey, did you two have a rematch from your BYU bowling alley days?

No. I think Chris and I still need a break from air hockey. Funny that you remembered our air hockey battles.
