So don't laugh or judge but I had the most amazing night last night. For my birthday in January Chris got me Matchbox Twenty tickets for last night. They are totally my guilty pleasure. I have loved these guys since middle school and have seen them counting last night 4 times. I swear their shows just keep getting better and better. Rob Thomas has one of those voices that is so much better live than on a recording. I even have a hard time listening to them on the radio after seeing them live because it always seems to be that when he records he has to tone down his intensity and strength. Live, man he just belts it. They are also so much more rockin' live than on recordings. They even played for 2 hours, no one does that anymore. I am not trying to make excuses for them but love the title of their new, somewhat greatest hit, cd Exile on Mainstream. I love that they even make fun of themselves for being so mainstream, they always have. So here I am today floating on cloud nine and reminiscing all of the memories in my life their music has played a part in. Chris even said it was a fun show and we all know how hard it was for him to buy the tickets let alone go with me to the concert. One more little note: I am not an Alanis Morissette fan but Chris and I both agree her voice is amazing. It was so clear and strong. I just love hearing artists, especially mainstream artists, who can really sing. There is not a lot of them out there and never really has been.

I really can't laugh?! O.K. at least just a smile.
No worries. We all have our guilty pleasures. I'd pay money to see Hanson any day. I'm sure it was awesome--Glad you had fun!
DON'T ever give up concerts or the things that make you smile!
I still enjoy singing groups, plays, concerts, all kinds of things. I hope to go to a Russian ballet here soon, (and I'm not even nor have I ever been a dancer of that sort!) but I like experiencing as much as possible...and you KNOW I am not young. Fun to read about your date!
oh jamie, I'm so glad you had fun. Guilty pleasures are great...I'm seriously going to NKOTB if they have a reunion.
