Okay, Okay, Okay!!! Here is my N.Y.R.

I have been thinking about this a lot lately. What is my New Years Resolution? I didn't want it to be the same boring normal stuff but then again I kinda did. So yes, my NYR is to save money and get out of the little debt we have. I wish I could say this NYR was based on the current economic state of our country but it's not. I like to have fun with my NYR and make a game out of them, if you will. So the game is to see how much money, exactly, we blow on mindless purchases. You know, that pack of gum at the store during checkout, a bargain shirt that I don't really like but was a great deal, running through a drive thru even though we only purchase stuff off of the value menu, a new pen or box of cookies that is not on my grocery list, etc. You can see I have a problem with insignificant purchases at Walmart that add up over time. So the resolution is to see how much self control I have and how much I can save.

To start out with this is only a month long test. I usually get OCD about the goals I make for myself so hopefully this will turn out to be a life long lesson and something I practice from now on. I have a pretty good idea about how much nonsense spending I do but I think I will still be surprised. How much do you think I am going to save? I mean really take a good guess! I will tally the totals and let you know in 30 days. Oh yeah, this starts today and goes till Feb. 21. Wish me luck and happy spending, I mean saving. Geesh.

What a great idea. We waist sooo much money. Speaking of waiting money we just bought tickets to come to Utah in March. We actually used ticket vouchers so they didn't cost us much. We're there from March 19-26. I think we'll be in pocatello 1st but want to come see yall towards the end of the week. I'll call ya and let you know. Can't wait to see ya. I heard you were going to San Diego soon. Hope you have fun.

I love it when the cashier asks, "Did you find everything you were looking for today?" My response is always, "Yes I found what I was looking for and then some!"

Good luck actually sticking to your list when you go to the store, that would probably save you mucho dinero.

I am totally impressed by your color IQ. Seriously, major talent. You need to make a living out of it.
P.S. Love your blog!
